Ministries

Community

We want to be people who are actively and joyfully connected like a family –participating in each others’ lives in ways that glorify God. Gospel Community Group (GCG) is what we call our smaller, midweek gatherings that meet for 1 ½ – 2 hours, a few times a month to eat, pray, study, have fun and care for one another. The purpose of Gospel Community Groups is to build gospel-centered relationships–sharing and encouraging each other to grow in our love for Christ and concern for others.

Kids

Our vision is to develop children who not only know God’s Word but delight in God’s Word.  Our Children’s Ministry is a vibrant and fruitful place for children and teachers alike.  We use the Children Desiring God curriculum on Sunday mornings for our elementary classes, as we seek to teach the Bible in ways that equip kids with a God-centered worldview and a growing love for Him. On Wednesday nights, we host AWANA Kids Club from 5:55 – 7:30 pm.

Nursery Ministries: (Up to 3 yrs old)
We want parents of babies & toddlers to enjoy peace of mind as they worship, learn and grow spiritually, though you are always welcome to keep any age of kiddos with you during the service. You will find many families who make both choices! Childcare is also available during the Sunday Classes hour.
Please allow a few minutes to check into our online registration system when dropping your child off at one of the Nurseries. If your child has any symptoms of sickness, we kindly ask you not to place them in nursery care.

Children’s Sunday School
Sunday school classes are provided for 2-year-olds through 6th graders (7th-12th graders as well, but read about that in the youth section!). Our teachers encourage and nurture your child’s spiritual life through the study of God’s Word, age-appropriate activities, and life application.

AWANA (Wednesday 5:55-7:25 p.m., September to April)
AWANA stands for “Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed” from 2 Timothy 2:15. Our AWANA club seeks to reach K-6th grade kids with the gospel of Christ and to teach them how to live it out in all of life. Wednesday nights include Scripture memory, Bible lessons, games and activities. Please allow a few minutes upon arrival to check your kids in. We take seriously our responsibility to keep kids safe while they are with us and so we have implemented a check-in system that tracks who is dropping off and picking up each child. If you have questions regarding our safety policy, please contact the church office.

Weather cancellation policy: If Fremont Public Schools cancel classes/activities on a Wednesday due to weather, Awana, Youth Group and other Wednesday night activities will also be cancelled.

Teens

We want our 7th-12th grade students to grow into committed followers of Jesus Christ who persevere in their faith once they leave home. During the school year, this age group meets at the church on Wednesdays (7pm-9pm). We play games, worship in music, study the Bible, and end with food! On Sundays (9:55am – 10:35am), we meet as middle school and high school classes to study a new series from the Bible each semester.

During the school year: Wednesday nights 7:00-9:00 p.m.; Summer schedule includes in-home small groups.
Join us on Wednesday nights for a time of Bible study, authentic community and encouraging fun. On a typical night, we start with games outside or inside at 6:45pm. Arrive when you can and connect with friends or meet new people. A little after 7pm, we will head into the sanctuary for a time of worship led by our own student team and a message. Next, we divide up by age and gender for small group discussions and end our evening with snacks at 9:00 p.m.

Fun
The youth group gets together monthly to just have fun!  We’ve hosted movie nights, Super Bowl parties, bonfire & hay rack rides, video scavenger hunts, game nights, bowling, and lake days. We also host an annual fall retreat, travel on summer mission projects, and attend the National EFCA Youth Conference every other year.
